DNA Electrophoresis
Introduction. DNA electrophoresis is an analytical technique used to separate DNA fragments by size. The types of gels most commonly used for DNA electrophoresis are agarose (for relatively long DNA molecules) and polyacrylamide (for high resolution of short DNA molecules). Agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis are rapid techniques used to identify, quantify and purify nucleic acids. More>>
